BMW 3 Series

Designed as a response to entry-level luxury sedans, the all-new 3 Series Coupe was launched by BMW at the Munich Olympic Stadium in 1975. The car was based on the E21 automobile platform and featured BMW's classic kidney-style front grille. It came with a choice of three engine configurations - 316 (1.6L), 318 (1.8L) and 320 (2.0L) - and a standard Getrag 4-speed manual transmission. Car's interior also featured an innovative centre console-design (driver-oriented angle). The 3 Series Coupe received several engine updates throughout its 8 years of production, including a brand new 320i variant (featuring Bosch K Jetronic fuel injection) at the end of 1975. New six-cylinder M20 engines were also introduced by BMW for its E21 models starting 1977.
